Dr. Brandon Harnos
Optometrist · Founder

Brandon Harnos, O.D.

A metro-Detroit native and University of Michigan honors graduate, Dr. Harnos earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the SUNY College of Optometry in New York City, where he was deeply involved in student leadership. He served as class president, Gold Key Honor's Society President, and AOSA national trustee, and founded the first LGBTQ+ club at any independent college of optometry in the country.

His clinical focus includes ocular disease, pediatrics, and binocular vision. He has published in Modern Optometry and presented lectures on sensory hypersensitivity and electrophysiological testing. Dr. Harnos is a clinical attending supervisor at SUNY College of Optometry and currently serves as President of the Hudson Valley Optometric Association.

Outside the office, he enjoys running, volleyball, reading, and performing as a classically trained trumpet player with the Ulster County Wind Ensemble.

Dr. Scott Morrison

Scott Morrison, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Scott I. Morrison grew up in Belle Harbor, Queens, NY, and earned his B.A. in Biology from Queens College (CUNY) before completing his Doctorate of Optometry at SUNY College of Optometry. He established his New Paltz practice in 1985 and later opened an Orange County location in Montgomery, NY.

Dr. Morrison maintains a faculty position as Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY College of Optometry and serves as a 12-week externship supervisor. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and a Past President of the Hudson Valley Optometric Society, where he continues to serve on the board.

In his spare time, Dr. Morrison enjoys exercise, music, and rooting for the Jets. He has been happily married to Jacki Posner Morrison for over 34 years, and they have two sons — Jake, an attorney in NYC, and Ben, a Biomedical Engineer in Los Angeles.

Dr. Elaine Doxtader

Elaine Doxtader, O.D.

Originally from Little Falls, New York, Dr. Elaine Doxtader earned her B.S. in Biology from Siena College before completing her Doctorate of Optometry at SUNY College of Optometry. She brings a broad range of expertise to the practice, with a genuine passion for the full scope of primary eye care.

Dr. Doxtader provides comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages and specializes in managing chronic eye diseases including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular conditions. She approaches every patient with warmth, thoroughness, and a commitment to making them feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their visit.

Outside of the office, she enjoys skiing, traveling, and cooking.
